Hello, welcome to our website.

Plumstone Welshcakes started in April 2021 by myself, Tom. My original idea was to start a mobile café specialising in welshcakes - a treat that not many people can turn down. To see which flavours would be most popular I started selling the welshcakes from an honesty box and very quickly I started stocking shops for the summer. Both locals and tourists loved them and it got to a point where, when I finished college in 2022, I could take the business on full time.

In July of 2024 I made a big jump to renting a building to move the kitchen into and with the extra space opened up a farm shop. The nice new kitchen gave me the opportunity to really grow the business and the farm shop was a brilliant learning experience. As of April 2025, I have handed the shop responsibilities over to safer hands giving me the time to focus on building the Welshcake empire! 

We have started to supply shops all over Wales and parts of England with our welshcakes which is super exciting! Especially as it helps us with our mission to make welshcakes a popular household treat all over the UK.

The hard work put into the business is paying off as I received some very valued recognition at the Welsh Food and Drink Awards 2025, winning the Rising Star of the year!

I'm really looking forward to seeing how far the business can go with the aim of making Welshcakes a household treat around the UK.
